Jen Halima Willett
Beekeeper & Folk Herbalist
I'd love to share fresh honey, herbs and healing balms with you!
Honey and beeswax is harvested from our small apiary of honey bees,
whose home is Sacred Roots Herbal Sanctuary, where the bees have a tapestry
of intentionally planted herb gardens and wild meadows to forage.
We also tend gardens at our home and forage to create fresh medicinal herbal products to share locally with our community through classes and small batch seasonal products.
I also like to teach... to hold a door open for wonder and curiosity.
And I believe making things together offers us more than the nourishing herbal products we walk away it. It also strengthens us through shared wisdom and builds community.
To me teaching is sharing and when I discover a skill that brings me joy, that joy expands as I share it.
I'm grateful for the many teachers that have graced my path and taught me to pay attention to the world around me and within me. And for the collaboration with so many other amazing places that foster our relationship to the earth, our inner world and the reciprocity between all species.
And the greatest learning has been sinking my hands into soil and tending to gardens wherever I happen to be.
My prayer is that I will always keep this sense of awe and appreciation alive in my heart. That I will always remember the Source from which it came, in awe and appreciation of sun, soil and rain, and that my hands may be guided to keep pressing seeds into soil as I take my place in the nature of things.
